The Primal Pursuit Mid is the same shoe as the Primal Pursuit, only with a little more height, waterproof protection, and a suede upper. That’s right, splish splash, take that bath. In these, you can puddle jump, hike through mud, and get caught in the rain while your feet stay nice and dry.

Think of the Primal Pursuit Mid as a hybrid of the Primal 2 and the Trailhead/Mesa. We incorporated all of the features you have grown to love about these shoe models into one new and improved style! The fit and feel is the same as the Primal 2, only with a bit more oomph, like the Trailhead/Mesa, in order to navigate over rocks and roots like a pro.

The new Trail Traction Outsole features a slightly higher stack height and more cushion than the  Primal 2, without tacking on too much extra weight. The Primal Pursuit Mid combines the fit and feel of the Primal 2 with the functionality and durability of the Trailhead/Mesa for more adventurous…pursuits - see what we did there? ;)

The materials include an air mesh upper that allows for maximum air flow to wick away moisture and keep you presentable for a post-hike brewski with friends. The Primal Pursuit Mid features the same zero-drop heel and wide toe box as the Primal 2 that allows the toes to behave like they are meant to - free and splayed.

    I am loving LEMS shoes!

I went to Austin on vacation and walked a bunch in these shoes and they did great! I already had two pairs of LEMS Boulder Summit that I alternate wearing at work as a park ranger. They were just so amazingly comfortable that I decided to try another of their shoes and they have not disappointed. They seem a little different from the Boulder Summits which are all leather but still very and secure. After using the LEMS shoes my feet don't hurt like they used to. I have a foot injury from when I was in the army and it mostly stopped bothering me after switching to these. I especially appreciate the wider toe box.

    big ol kicks

I wore these on a Hike to Five Peaks at Hanging Rock and they were great. I thought they were kinda clownish being that the box was so big and I was tripping over myself but I really just needed to pull the laces tighter all the way up the shoe. prob could use half size smaller. Will buy another pair of Lems one of these days.

    Superlative!

Exceptional pair of hiking boots. Possibly the best traction I’ve had on a boot, after using them in varied terrains - slick, clay mud; sand; boulders; talus; scree; snow and ice; grassy slopes. Have had no issues with slipping, whether on flat or sloped ground, and despite the boots being so light, the ankle support has been great.

The waterproofing has also worked wonderfully, and yet the boots still breathe really well. No problem wearing them all day with how light and breathable they are.

Also, really pleased with how good they look with pants, jeans, or shorts (in the Mercury Rising color)!
