The Trailhead is our take on a minimalist hiking shoe equipped for any trail, trek or urban travel adventure. With its natural shape toe box, minimal heel drop, and lightweight design, it's sure to keep pushing your boundaries.

Whether you're climbing a 14er, going on a bike and brew tour, or even backpacking around the world, the Trailhead will be sure to take you far away from the ordinary. Designed for the trail but styled for the city streets, this low cut hiking shoe is the answer for your every move.

Stormy Night

We recommend ordering UP 1/2 size from your normal US size. If you have wider feet, we do not suggest this shoe.

Unsure of your size? We recommend ordering 2+ pairs at a time, as we offer a flat shipping fee of $5.95 & free exchange options for US customers.

This shoe is available in one width - MEDIUM Natural-Shape, as highlighted below:

RUGGED UPPER

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

MOUNTAIN-TO-TOWN OUTSOLE

Engineered with a low profile rubber tread that combines the best of both worlds: ample traction on trails, AND excellent durability on pavement.

LOW HEEL DROP

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

FIRM CUSHIONING

When your foot is on too soft of cushion, you end up with pain and discomfort. We've formulated a firm EVA midsole that'll keep your feet happy all day long.

Reviews Summary
Customers say these shoes are extremely comfortable and versatile, suitable for both city walking and light hiking. Many appreciate the retro styling and wide toe box design. The sizing runs small, with most reviewers recommending ordering a half to full size up. Users find them durable and well-constructed, with several owning multiple pairs. The sole provides good traction but feels stiffer than other models. Some note the toe box is narrower than expected for the brand. Common praise includes comfort right out of the box, lightweight feel, and ability to transition from trails to casual wear seamlessly.

    Incredible!

I bought these shoes on a whim. I almost exclusively wear shoes from Columbia but recently, i haven’t found anything from them that really excited me. I came across an ad for the trailheads on sale, only $75, and pulled the trigger. I usually wear a size 12 but i ordered a size 12.5. I am a tall guy and was nervous about the width of these shoes. As soon as these came, i was so happy with the looks and the color. I then slipped them on my feet and was blown away by how perfect they fit. They felt like the shoes were molded to my feet. I am completely sold. I can’t wait to order another pair and try some of the other styles they sell. All, just a bonus, i get compliments on them almost every time i wear them out.

Used these on a trip to Yosemite, I only had them about a week before to get used to the small stack height ands they performed phenomenal on our small hikes. Note they are my new daily shoes

    Great transition shoe!

I really love the trailhead line. It's the perfect transition shoe before 0 drop. With the 4mm drop, it's great shoe to wear. Got alot of compliments on them. Really comfortable.

As recommended, I took 1/2 a size bigger and they fit great.

    Sturdy and comfortable

These shoes are rugged yet smart enough looking to wear on the job. Smaller toe box than some other Lem designs but stretched enough for the size 15 foot of the the recipient of these shoes

    Size Up

Awesome shoes. Good looking shoes. Hiked and ran in them. Laces stayed tight without double knot. SIZE UP! I'm a 10.5. Always an 11, maybe 11.5 in Lems. Keeping my 10.5 but my big toe is snug against the front of my shoe.
