Greetings. I wanted to thank your company for providing a great product. I currently have my third pair, in a row, of Primal 2, the brown ones. Years ago, before I bought my first pair, I was literally shoe shopping for 6 months, just to find a casual shoe that felt good. I found your shoe in a store in Woodstock Georgia that has since closed down. Before I started wearing Lems, I had knee problems and lower back problems. Today, years later, those problems are gone. Also I am flat-footed so finding something that fit naturally was pretty hard.
I currently have 2 pairs of the brown Primal 2, one for casual/ daily work wear and one for running. Your shoes last a long time also.
I no longer go shoe shopping, because you guys have won me as a customer.
Thank you for your product, and may your business keep thriving!
David Long, 39 years old
Dear Friends— I’m writing to you as a fan—a big fan. First, though, I’d like to share my Lems story with you:
Almost two years ago, Dr. Ray McClanahan put me in a pair of Nine2fives, and during the cool-weather school year months, they’re my go-to shoe (in warm weather I wear Luna sandals to teach).
A year ago I bought a pair of Primal 2s, ostensibly to kick around in. I had read an on-line review asserting they didn’t “look” or “seem” tough enough to run in (http://www.technicallyrunning.com/2013/07/lems-primal-2/), but I at least wanted the wide toe box for the weekends and such. However, when I came down with a metatarsal stress fracture 11 months ago, I needed an alternative to my Five Fingers—I had over-tightened them and was pounding downhills (on roads) and snap! went my third met. As I began running again, my old Merrell and New Balance minimalist running shoes wouldn’t do—both were too narrow in the forefoot. Although I didn’t want to wreck my nearly-new Primal 2s, I didn’t have a choice.
More than 600 miles later, I’m really happy I began running in the Primal 2s. The outer sole is amazingly long-lasting, and the uppers show virtually no wear. I’m sure I’ll be buying another pair in 2017, but you make one tough, flexible, comfortable RUNNING shoe. I have praised them to friends, and a couple have bought, and regularly run in, Primal 2s as a result.
Thanks for making some great shoes!
