Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Love the Women’s Primal 2
I’m so sad to have read (I hope I’m wrong) that you are discontinuing the Primal 2. I tried the Primal 3 and the sole is too stiff and the heel much too wide. I will have to look for a new shoe if you don’t continue the Primal 2.

Great for narrow heels and midfoot with room for toes!
These are so perfect for women with narrow heels and midfoot! They had room for some flat insoles for my extra blister-prone feet. I'll be buying them again.

Most comfortable shoes!!!
Primal 2's are the only shoes I wear, most everyday and all year. In the summer I occasionally wear barefoot sandals too, or flip flops, and when it snows I wear barefoot boots. I initially bought 4 pairs a few years ago, I loved them so much. My original 2 pairs eventually sported little holes by my pinky toes. I tossed them and majorly regret that now. I just bought another new pair. I am heartbroken they are being discontinued. I won't trying the Primal 3's. I tried the Primal Zen's and didn't find them to be amazing shoes at all. I tried several other styles of your shoes. The Primal 2's FAR OUTSHINE all of them. I returned everyone of your other styles. When people ask me about my Primal 2's I refer them to your shop, but I tell them I only wear/recommend the Primal 2's. You've lost me as a customer Lems. Your Primal 2's garnered over a thousand 5 star reviews and just small percentages of 4 stars and under. They work wonders for many people, including me. I hope someday you will make them again. They really hit the sweet spot for barefoot shoes. Perfection.
