The Outlanders with their waterproof uppers and 4mm deep lugs will give you incredible traction, whether you’re snowshoeing through mountain powder or trudging through mucky slush in town. Live somewhere very wet (we’re looking at you PNW)? The gusseted tongue keeps the tongue completely attached to the boot, preventing moisture and debris from coming inside the shoe. We also took the same breathable, waterproof liner from the Waterproof Boulder Boot to keep water out so your feet stay dry and warm.

A spacious toe box coupled with a zero-drop platform will have your feet dancing on the trail, because these natural foot-shaped hiking boots allow you to move in proper alignment, just as nature intended.

Now, for the toughest decision of all: Which colorway will you choose? Evergreen, Blue Steel, or Iceberg? All three are beauties designed with inspiration from Mother Nature herself.

COMPARISON: LEMS WATERPROOF BOOTS

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

100% WATERPROOF UPPER

With its fully waterproof membrane and gusseted tongue, the Outlander will keep your feet dry and warm, especially after a day on the slopes or slogging through slush on your way to the bar!

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel close to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

WIDE TOE BOX

Unlike traditional footwear that squeeze the toes together, our foot-shaped toe box allows for maximum room giving the toes ultimate freedom to wiggle and spread.

Reviews Summary
Customers say these boots are incredibly comfortable right out of the box with no break-in period needed. The wide toe box provides ample room for natural toe movement, making them suitable for all-day wear. Users report excellent waterproofing performance in snow, rain, and wet conditions, keeping feet completely dry. Many appreciate the lightweight feel despite the sturdy construction and find the grip adequate on various surfaces including snow, ice, and trails. Common feedback includes praise for the zero-drop design and overall durability. Some mention the laces are too short or don't stay tied well, and a few note sizing runs slightly small, recommending going up half a size. Several users experience minor rubbing initially around the ankle area.

    Another winner

This is my fifth pair of LEMS boots. I just love them. Fit is consistent in all but all have traits useful for different conditions.

One full year, Alaska, Patagonia, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming

I think there’s well over 1,000 miles in these shoes. Bare in mind, I was gifted these shoes and toe spacers. I knew nothing of Zero drop or barefoot designs.

Here’s an honest review from a traditional stiff boot guy. I’m a full time guide I spend over 250 days a year in the backcountry from Patagonia to Alaska. From running, camp shoes, travel, hiking and client dinners, these are the shoes I choice.

I haven’t killed these shoes! Extremely durable and well made. These have been my only shoes other than my wading boots. From swamp lands and boats rides in Alaska, to razor sharp shale rock in mountains, to cutting/ welding steel, the shoes have stood up. They impressively kept my feet dry and haven’t failed me yet. Worn yes but there not a stitch out of place or a hole to be found. Truely blown away that they haven’t died yet and are still keeping my feet dry stomping around in the Moab mud.

It took time getting used to how soft the soles are, it mainly because I’m soft footed I guess. But you can feel the difference between grains of sand under foot.

The tread design is my only complaint, it was tough side stepping in cheat grass or mud on steep terrain. The treads did great running toe to heel but big toe to pinky toe the treads acted more like skis. I slide a lot in them even when they had full treads. But you get used to it. Also chasing chukar requires to be on 60% slopes or higher. I bet most boots would struggle at that angle.

    They have outproformed…

    Hiking

They are excellent boots very comfortable zero drop with just enough cushion for the sharp rocks but still have great ground feel and grip. I haven’t had them long enough to soak for there durability but if they are like the last 4 pairs of shoes I’ve got from Lems they should be excellent.
