The boots is a solid first start. I only wore these a few times then ran a couple rucks, and worked in them (motorpool and range prep so no fields yet) I should've broken them in the right way. They are very stiff early especially on the top of the toes. But other than some ankle blisters from im guessing being too loose I had zero issues with the sides of my feet and felt zero soreness in my feet the days after. They are very comfortable and the vibrant treads are so far pretty good when I did a personal hike in the mountains with them. Maybe increase the toe box slightly in the next iteration and potentially make it more flexible out the box. Still unsure of how durable it'll be long term but I'm like it so far

Danner Tachyon replacement
I have been wearing the Danner Tachyons for years. These took about a week to really break in. These boots are my daily boots now.

Almost perfect
I'd like more midsole cushioning for long hours standing on hard surfaces and carrying heavy loads. When wearing tactical equipment, you weigh 35+ lbs more than normal. These boots should be designed and tested with a full combat load in mind. This extra weight makes the minimalist padding in barefoot shoes inadequate. Greater cushioning would protect joints while still allowing natural movement and foot health. Topo Athletic boots and hiking shoes are a good example of natural foot shape, natural movement, and cushion, but they have no tactical models. The Merrell Moab is wide, cushioned and stable, but not natural enought in its shape and movement. I hope Lems can make a AR-670-1 Compliant boot that fills this gap.
