Best barefoot nautical shoe
I have been searching for barefoot nautical shoes since I began using barefoot footwear and it has proven to be a challenge. There are not many brands that produce them and I was particularly drawn to this model. I purchased the dark brown colour and found them to be exceptional in terms of comfort and quality. The leather is excellent and appears to be very robust. I hope these shoes will last me a long time. Thank you Lems.

Great for walking
First of all, size up. I usually wear a 10.5-11 and I needed a 11.5-12.
Threatened/harmed the back of my ankles for a few days. Just wore big bandaids. Shoes are now broken in and this is not an issue even without socks.
They were not comfortable to walk in at first. After working hard to break them in taking my dogs for walks and also on a trip to Switzerland wandering valleys, these shoes became my most comfortable walkers. No other shoe except maybe my Timberland boots don’t hurt my feat or ankles after 5-6 hours of walking.
Great shoes, highly recommend. I’m not sure on the durability or longevity as I’ve only had them for a couple weeks.

Hesitating because of the price? Don't. This is the one!
Bought a few other brands of this classic boat shoe that were in the $40-60 range. Totally disappointed. They all suffer from the same deficiencies. Cuff gives you blisters, stiff, or the sole is some cheap foam/hard rubber. The Mariner has none of these shortcomings. Very light, the insole is exceptional if you have flat feet, high quality real leather that is soft and pliable and the padded cuff means no hot spots on ankles and heel. I walk miles every day in work boots and I love to come home and put these on. Totally revitalize my feet

Quality
Not as roomy in the toe box as other lems and also definitely more cushioning compared to the primal zen, but comfortable shoes regardless. I find that all lems run just a little small, but it more feels like it fits my foot properly instead of having extra space in the shoe.
