The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.

When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. A great and comfortable boot!
Been through plenty of boots that aren't considered barefoot or minimal. I've had to resort to sizing up either a full size or a size and a half. With these boots, I have finally felt comfort at my suggested size (9 US/42 EU). I started wearing them to work on a half day and I only started feeling the same wear on my feet during the last 15 minutes as I would the first hour with other "normal" boots. The next 2 days were full work days and I haven't dreaded wearing these at all. The first full day being mainly walking an avg. of 17k steps in an aisle laden retail store and the second full day being up and down a ladder for 3/4s of the day.
As a heavier set guy at 275lbs. I do recommend these for comfort. I do like that they are stated to be waterproof, I haven't had an incident that needed them to be yet. Grip is good, other than a small slip on freshly sprayed floors for cleaning (slipped for maybe an inch to two inches before gaining traction again).
A small gripe that I would mainly consider as user error is to get a properly tighten lace. I've only had these boots for a weekend and getting these boots to lace properly requires more precision than most boots I've had in the past. The closed eyelets are good enough as any shoe to lace up, the two open eyelets catch the lace snug enough that prevents micro adjustments (slip) whilst wearing.
