The Trailhead is our take on a minimalist hiking shoe equipped for any trail, trek or urban travel adventure. With its natural shape toe box, minimal heel drop, and lightweight design, it's sure to keep pushing your boundaries.

Whether you're climbing a 14er, going on a bike and brew tour, or even backpacking around the world, the Trailhead will be sure to take you far away from the ordinary. Designed for the trail but styled for the city streets, this low cut hiking shoe is the answer for your every move.

Desert Khaki

We recommend ordering UP 1/2 size from your normal US size. If you have wider feet, we do not suggest this shoe.

Unsure of your size? We recommend ordering 2+ pairs at a time, as we offer a flat shipping fee of $5.95 & free exchange options for US customers.

This shoe is available in one width - MEDIUM Natural-Shape, as highlighted below:

RUGGED UPPER

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

MOUNTAIN-TO-TOWN OUTSOLE

Engineered with a low profile rubber tread that combines the best of both worlds: ample traction on trails, AND excellent durability on pavement.

LOW HEEL DROP

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

FIRM CUSHIONING

When your foot is on too soft of cushion, you end up with pain and discomfort. We've formulated a firm EVA midsole that'll keep your feet happy all day long.

Reviews Summary
Customers say these hiking shoes are extremely comfortable and versatile, perfect for daily wear, work, and outdoor activities. Many praise the wide toe box, supportive fit, and excellent grip on various terrains. Users frequently mention the shoes require no break-in period and feel comfortable immediately. Common feedback includes sizing concerns, with most recommending ordering a half to full size up as these run small. While many love the durability and quality construction, some note the toe box is narrower than expected for a minimalist shoe. The zero-drop design and cushioning receive positive reviews, though a few find the sole stiffer than anticipated.

Based on 5 pair of Trailheads: Very good travel and everyday walking shoe

I bought these initially as a pair of travel shoes that were:

-- lightweight for when I needed to pack them

-- zero or minimal drop, which I prefer

-- suitable for day hikes, sometimes in rugged terrain

-- acceptable in cities, including restaurants (for evenings or a city shoe, I often take 925s as my 2nd pair)

These work well for that. I have put hundreds of miles on five pairs, three still wearable. They are decent hiking shoes, and I have hiked in them under some fairly rough conditions. That said, on a recent trip to Costa Rica, when I knew it would be steep and muddy a lot of the time, I wore regular hiking shoes. These would not have worked.

What fails? The heels can collapse if you are not careful when putting them on. Some have a heel loop, which I would welcome on all colors. Eventually, the soles wear out. I am big and hard on shoes, but these are not exceptionally durable shoes. Comes with the light weight.

    Favorite shoe of all time

LOVE this show. My first pair lasted me about 3 years, incredible quality and such a good vibe.

I wear them to the office, trail running, scrambling, you name it - they can do it.
