Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Light and super comfy
I finally own a pair of Chelsea's that work for my feet. They remind me of western ropers style-wise, which I love. Tidy style that you can wear for work, dress and activity. I'm impressed. Time to grab the Obsidian version, too

Great!!
2nd season with Lems Chelsea boot. The most comfortable shoes and boots I've ever owned. Great for walking. You won an advocate. By the way the grip walking on a metal roof was a surprise - something I couldn't do barefoot now can.

Best shoe Lem's makes?
I have been purchasing and wearing Lem's since the beginning, and while I have not love all, maybe even many, of their shoes (mainly because I think they are hideously ugly), I DO think this is probably the best minimalist shoe company on the market, because they blend real world practicality with foot friendly design. Most barefoot shoe companies make masochistic shoes, which also fall apart in 5 minutes, and require a 6 figure salary to afford. But I digress! I've owned 2 pair of these boots, and I can't tell you how great they are: they are very comfortable, first of all. The volume of the boot is fantastic, too ; prior to these I wore Blundstone's, which I honestly think are OK, but the toe box is too narrow. The Lem's Chelsea is on another level. They are stylish, too -- which is something I wouldn't say about 99% of the shoes Lem's makes (but to be fair, I don't think they or their customers care. I am shallow, what can I say?). I live in NYC, and these are good for treks around Central Park, through the city, through the rain and snow, pretty much anything. Bonus: they make my feet actually feel great. Highly recommend (they are also -- I know this because it's my second pair! -- very long lasting). 10/10 shoe. (I buy these one whole size larger than normal and the fit is perfect).
