Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

MN Terrain Verified BEST BOOTS EVER
I take these on every hike I go on. No more toe blisters, they look good, and don’t limit my ankle mobility like most hiking boots!
These have the perfect toe box for me and have just enough cushion for me to feel the ground without pain like some other extreme barefoot shoes. They feel like slippers! I feel like I could backpack and not care to bring extra camp shoes because these are just so comfy. Definitely hot in the summer, but most boots are. Kept my feet 100% DRY in the boundary waters in spring time! Stepping through ankle deep mud and puddles and everything. Kept them warm in the fall and did great on my short backpack trips.
I did try using them in the winter for work as a lifty, and my feet were cold if I was in the snow for too long, but was manageable.
Got my regular size I get in most shoes.
Would love to test the limits of these boots to see if they can withstand a full on thru hike and in rockier, more mountainous environments.

The best!
Obsessed with the original vegan boulder boot for 5+ yrs now. Still buying them but needed a waterproof option. I wear them straight from the box to work, which is on my feet. Every pair of Lem’s I’ve got are the best right out of the box, there’s no break in time. These boots are warmer, have better tread and def keep my toes dry versus original boulder (which I totally still buy and wear, it’s about versatility).
