Comparison: Lems Chelsea Boot Collection

Slushies belong in cups, not the insides of your shoes. Whether your Winters are rainy, bitterly cold, or the snow didn’t get the memo that it’s officially Spring, our waterproof Chelsea boots keep the elements out and the warmth in.

From fall through the last throes of winter, these boots will be your trusty companions. Built on the same outsole as our beloved Primal Zen, you can expect the same zero-drop, lightweight, and ultra wide fit.

This boot can be dressed up or down, worn to the office, bar, or trail.  This version features a fully waterproof membrane and oiled leather upper so there’s no need to worry about the forecast. Just pull them on and go!

Because of the oiled leather and waterproof membrane you will find that this upper is stiffer than the suede version, so if you're looking for a softer feeling right out of the box, then try the Chelsea Boot Cedar instead.

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

WIDE TOE BOX

Unlike traditional footwear that squeeze the toes together, our foot-shaped toe box allows for maximum room giving the toes ultimate freedom to wiggle and spread.

ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT

Our proprietary IBR outsole is what makes Lems incredibly lightweight and flexible - giving your foot the sense of weightlessness.

    Great winter boot

More stability than I expected although a little less flexibility than I had hoped. I work in mush, mud, snow and ice in the winter and they have been great. I’ve worn them ice fishing as well. Keep my feet dry and comfortable. I’m really happy I was put on to these boots

    Perfect boot

Ive found the perfect boot. I normally wear 10 EEE, 10 1/2 E or 11D. In these, 11 fit perfect so because of the wide toe box, sizing up a half size seems like the way to go. These boots are light! Cork insole is super comfortable. And bonus, they're waterproof plus weight makes it a four season boot.

    I would change some things

TLDR: Nice Chelsea option, seem well made, could be wider.

Full Version: let me start by saying these are good looking Chelsea boots. They seem to be well-made. I will first say why this is hard. People have different feet. What is only 4 stars for me could be a 5 for you.

These are nice and comfortable for what they are. I generally wear a 13, 4E standard shoe. And the 12.5 is where I landed and they are great in length. They could certainly stand to be wider through the midfoot forward. In the last year, I have made the switch strictly to barefoot toe boxes. Since the change I have tried many different brands of shoes, from high end to low end and everywhere in between. One of my biggest struggles is finding shoe stores locally that carry these, or any other barefoot shoes. So I end up ordering a bunch from a, let’s say “jungle store” and several websites to try. I have sent so many shoes back on this search. I tried another brand that is also very popular (name sounds like a number less than “one”), and they were very similar to these. At the end of the day, it came down to those and these for a barefoot Chelsea option. These ultimately won for a few reasons. There’s a little more room in the saddle, while I do not have a high arch and am nearly flat-footed, it felt better for me. The others were still just too snug on the top of my foot. These being waterproof is a big plus for me. Biggest downside is they are just not as wide as I’d like. As I have been wearing them…
