The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.

These are great. Comfortable, easy to put on, keep my feet warm and dry. I've gotten a lot of compliments on them.
Fit note: I went up a half size like they recommend and that ended up being the right choice.

super comfy
After years of sizing up 1.5-2 sizes to accommodate "wide feet," I'm able to wear a size that suits me better (i.e. I'm not sliding around in it) without my whole leg cramping up from cramming my foot into an unnatural-shaped too-small container, now that I know about anatomically shaped shoes. But not all anatomically shaped shoes are built equally. I loved my dirt cheap aliexpress minimalist sneakers until I decided to try Lems for a pair of waterproof boots for rainy days. I immediately started to wear these boots as my daily shoes, rather than just on rainy days, because they are much comfier than the other "barefoot shoes" I've tried. The first day I tried them on they were quite inflexible and snug; they've loosened up a bit and I get more freedom of movement, but no part of the breaking-in process was uncomfortable. I've had them for about a month, so can't speak to longer term durability, but I really like them and would like to grab more footwear from Lems when I can.

Nice boots
I like these boots and find them to be quite comfortable. However they are a little loose in the heal and I have had to add a very thin heal cushion to help with the fit and relieve pressure on a heel spur.
