Finding boots that are ultra-minimalist, featuring a wide toe box, lightweight form, and zero-drop design is more difficult than locating the infamous Sasquatch…but why?  Where is the minimalist boot that is the natural shape of the human foot; a boot that brings your feet closer to the earth with a barefoot design; a boot so lightweight that it cuts down on ounces more than this week's fad diet; and a boot that has a wide toe box with more open space than the state of Kansas? Well, guess what, Dorothy? Welcome home!

We here at Lems Shoes believe that you don't need to be some environmentalist who survives on organic granola and berries to know that going natural can have its benefits, which is why we bring you the Boulder Boot - a barefoot boot that has all of the natural features you’ve been searching for all while promoting healthy foot development, better balance, increased mobility in the feet, legs, and back AND helps to alleviate certain foot ailments such as bunions and hammer toes. If you're ready for a 9oz boot (M10) that can pack down into the smallest of daypacks or carry you on the farthest of Sasquatch searches, then it’s time you rock the Boulder.

I absolutely love the Boulder boot. I wear size 11 every day for my plumbing work, and I just hope they never quit making these. The most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn, and they hold up really well.

    Almost incredible

I have a wide forefoot and have always run in Altra or Topos, but boots have been a struggle. I have had this boot for about a year and the shape is perfect, but there is a lot to be improved. If they would make this with a better leather (thicker and not coated - see Rose Anvil), leave out the liner (just leather inside and no waterproofing or plaid) and put a sole on it with a little more cushion, this boot would be perfect. They have the look down with the newer waterproof version (just a standard brown, not crazy logo placement).

So far good shoes, still evaluating

The boot leather appears very good. No defects, very flexible. I was surprised by the very smooth, a little bit plasticy feel, of the outside and the thinness of the leather. Neither is a complaint, just an impression. This is the first time I've tried minimalist-like shoes. The foot shape is excellent for me. The recommendation to order 1/2 size larger got me the right size the first time. My only concern right now is durability of the toe leather where it rubs when I kneel on concrete to wrench on stuff in the garage. Time will tell how durable that part will be.
