Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

They're great, except....
Love Lems. Been wearing the nine2five since May 2019. Bought the Primal Zen Leather for 2 reasons. The increased stack height and I'm petty and don't like the look of the new sole on the nine2five. The primal zen size is equivalent to the nine2five. I work in an environment with water and these keep my feet dry from the occasional splash. They get a 3, however, since I am constantly reminded of my socks and how they are slowly being tugged and pulled at.

Order at least a size up
For the past year or so, I have been wearing size 10 and a half for two different brands. Tom's, as well as brooks. And while they were snug, they fit. So I decided to order the same size, which was a huge mistake. When I got my shoes, I tried them on and noticed that my second toe was not only hitting the end, but having to bend to fit. I reached out to customer service, if suggested a half a size up. Knowing that I was going to wear these with socks at some point, I decided to order a full size up. Without socks, these are still snug. And some socks I just can't wear with them. I may be a special case though, as my second toe is longer than my first. The design of these shoes being what it is, they don't allow for that extra room. So if you're like me and have that issue, you might want to order a full size if not a full size and a half more. Luckily the exchange program was very easy to work with. Unfortunately I didn't realize that I should have gotten a size 12 until after I wore them for a few days. If these can last a full year, I will definitely be buying more. On average I will do about 15,000 steps per night 4 days a week, so it should be a good little test.

So glad I found these!
I am a mailman and I walk 6-10+ miles daily. My feet are wide and do not fit into a Nike or Adidas. Altra makes a great shoe but their “black” is navy/gray and I am required to wear black shoes. Vivos are phenomenal but they wear out too fast and are way too expensive. I’m so glad I found Lems. My feet are immediately comfortable. No “breaking in” period. My right foot is wider and longer than my left so that is the only annoyance. That my left foot is too big but my right foot is perfect.
