The Outlanders with their waterproof uppers and 4mm deep lugs will give you incredible traction, whether you’re snowshoeing through mountain powder or trudging through mucky slush in town. Live somewhere very wet (we’re looking at you PNW)? The gusseted tongue keeps the tongue completely attached to the boot, preventing moisture and debris from coming inside the shoe. We also took the same breathable, waterproof liner from the Waterproof Boulder Boot to keep water out so your feet stay dry and warm.

A spacious toe box coupled with a zero-drop platform will have your feet dancing on the trail, because these natural foot-shaped hiking boots allow you to move in proper alignment, just as nature intended.

Now, for the toughest decision of all: Which colorway will you choose? Evergreen, Blue Steel, or Iceberg? All three are beauties designed with inspiration from Mother Nature herself.

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

100% WATERPROOF UPPER

With its fully waterproof membrane and gusseted tongue, the Outlander will keep your feet dry and warm, especially after a day on the slopes or slogging through slush on your way to the bar!

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel close to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

WIDE TOE BOX

Unlike traditional footwear that squeeze the toes together, our foot-shaped toe box allows for maximum room giving the toes ultimate freedom to wiggle and spread.

Reviews Summary
Customers say these boots are extremely comfortable right out of the box with no break-in period needed. The wide toe box accommodates bunions and wider feet well, while the zero-drop design provides natural foot positioning. Users find them lightweight yet supportive for hiking and daily wear. Many praise the waterproof performance in rain and snow, though some note the waterproofing may diminish over time. The boots keep feet warm and dry in various weather conditions. Common complaints include laces that are too short and come untied easily, with many customers needing to double-knot or replace them. Some mention the toe box feels slightly narrower than other models in the brand. Most recommend sizing up half a size for optimal fit with thicker socks.

    Surprised

I wore these shoes right out of the box for a week straight and was very impressed. I did have to go up a half size to get a good fit, and it was the right choice. Wore them salt water fishing on a very rainy day, my feet were dry and warm. Hiked all over Elk Falls Provincial Park, again in the rain and mud, walked all over town and not once did me feet protest. I suffer from plantar fascia and rarely get through a full day without pain in my feet and that whole my feet were happy. I will be replacing all my footwear with Lems.

Great boots right out of the box

This was my first ever Lems purchase, and I needed something for colder, wetter hikes with my kids and dog. The sole is thicker than the usual barefoot brands I have been wearing for years, but that's actually what I was looking for and I'm very happy with it. After reading reviews, I decided to try my usual size of 9.5. They are snug with the insole in, but fit great if I take the insole out. They would be too tight if I wore my thickest wool socks with them, but I do not plan on snowy hikes with these. They're very comfortable and have already been worn on many walks and hikes. The quality is excellent! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

    Excellent all-in-one boots!

These boots are great for hiking, and they will also be my snow and snowshoe boots. I just had bunion surgery five months ago, and I am able to go on hikes in comfort. I did take the advice of other reviewers and ordered 1/2 size up, and glad I did. Also, I don't like the shoe strings because they are the type that loosen very easily on hikes, so I have to buy new ones.

    These boots are the one!

I bought these boots because of the advertised wide toe box. I have tried multiple other brands and always ended up with a hot spot/blister on my toes because of the narrow toe box.

I was a little skeptical that these boots would truly be waterproof. I've hiked in both snow and rain in these boots, and so far, they've done well. After hiking for 7+ hours in the rain and through puddles, my socks were still mostly dry when we got to camp. I have cleaned and re-waterproofed them, and they continue to perform well.

I've taken these boots on hikes all over the western US and New Zealand, including the Milford Track - some of that being multi-day treks with a heavy pack. They have held up well to wear and tear and provided the right amount of support for long days of hiking over varied terrain. Parts of the Milford were very rocky and technical, but I always felt stable in these boots (no slipping or rolled ankles). Additionally, I wasn't dying to get them off of my feet at the end of the day or dreading putting them back on the next morning.

They were recently on sale, so I preemptively purchased a backup pair. :)

    I love these boots!

They are so comfortable, waterproof, my first day wearing them I worked out in the soggy yard all day and I was comfy and dry. I didn't even need that "day of breaking in". They were amazing from the get go. One thing tho is they run a bit small. I have worn a 6.5 my whole life with very few exceptions but this was one of them. The size 7 fits perfect.
