Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Lightweight Shoes with wide, roomy toe box.
As above comment said, they take into consideration that for foot comfort, thought must be given to room for the toes to be able to spread out in a shoe, and especially for a seventy-seven year-old man like myself.
These shoes were recommended by my doctor, who opined that a lot of her patients are happy with Lem’s shoes for their wider toe box. Very impressive shoes.

Outstanding Shoe!
I was looking for a shoe that had the features of my favorite trail runners (rhymes with Ultra) with a zero drop and wide toe box, but with a slimmer sole and made for durability ✅️✅️✅️✅️✅️
I will be buying more from Lems.
I did first buy an 11.5 but had to return fir a smaller size so if you're borderline like me, go smaller.

Will probably buy more
I have wide and tall feet and I have been saying for years now that I was going to buy wide toe-box shoes. Last week I went on a rampage and bought wide toe socks and this pair of shoes and I couldn't be happier. Well, I could, but before I say how, I'll say this: these shoes smell amazing out of the box. Like a pine forest. Sadly, the scent doesn't last very long. The shoes are wide, comfortable, and light.
What could make me happier? There's less cushion than I'd like. I'm tall and heavy (6'3", 220) so a little cushioning would be nice. And before you say "just buy insoles", I'd rather not buy separate accessories to a shoe that already set me back nearly $140. So I'll keep the 5 stars for now. But either a little more cushion or a little less money would make these truly great.
