The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.

Overall great!
I was searching for a winter boot with a specific set of features: a wide and roomy toe box, barefoot feel, flexible, zero drop, lightweight construction, waterproof, insulated/warm, and strong traction on snow and ice. It’s a tall order, and these combinations are notoriously hard to find.
After extensive research, I decided to try the Lems Boulder Summit Waterproof boots. So far, they’ve checked most of my boxes, though I haven’t fully tested their warmth in serious cold yet.
The toe box is wide enough horizontally with regular socks, but it gets a bit snug—especially in vertical height—when I switch to thicker winter socks. (For reference, I ordered my true-to-size and this snugness only appears with bulkier socks.) My other minor complaints are that they’re not quite as ‘barefoot’ feeling as I’d hoped (due to the thicker sole for traction and protection), and while they’re lighter than most traditional winter boots, they’re still a bit heavier than my ideal. That said, it’s a reasonable trade-off for better grip. I haven’t worn them long enough to confirm how well they’ll perform on ice/snow or keep my feet warm when temperatures drop to around 10°F.” Overall, It’s a comfortable and stylish boot that I’ve worn all day without any foot fatigue!

Great boot for new england weather
I am a size 10 women's and I ordered a size 10 women's and the boot fit great! I got the black boots, and I get so many compliments. I have a normal- to- wide foot and the toe box is nice and roomy for my feet and socks.
