Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Almost perfect, except, the eyelets needed upgrading.
Difficult for me to put on my foot with the existing eyelets. So I replaced the upper three eyelets with boot hooks, which is an easy job with the kits available online. This did the trick. Boots on and off easily now.

My first Boulder Summit Boots - great so far
While I purchased several Primal sneakers, and love them all, this is my first pair of boots. I used them locally to break them in. They felt really good. I'll be using them this winter in the mountains and am looking forward to test if they are indeed waterproof.

Finally a boot that works
I have bunions like nobody's business which makes shopping for boots miserable.I can't even tell you how many pairs I've ordered from other companies and sent back. They either rubbed against my bunion, hurt my knees, created stabbing pain in my toes, ortook forever to break in. Right out of the box these boots were comfortable--not to mention lightweight, flexible, and as a binus are waterproof!
Right now I'm wearing them around town with jeans, but am already thinking about a second pair for hiking/yard work and have a bunch of others on my list for some variety. So glad I gave them a try!
