Get a half size up
Great boots, definitely get a half size up. My normal size JUST fit, no room for anything but thin socks. Half size up was perfect.

Excellent Traction
These boots are remarkably stable on steep hillsides, even ones blanketed with autumn leaves. They a\are very light, comfortable and feel very secure and stable and stayed dry inside on a hike through wet grass and brush. I have a very high instep so I needed to really loosen laces to get them on but once they were tightened they felt great.

Not waterproof
I loved the first gen leather boulder boot and wanted this for their waterproof factor, especially since I'm based in Seattle, and love to hike and scramble. These were great approach shoes too. However, after about six months, the waterproofing completely deteriorated in and around the toe box. They eventually began to literally absorb water around the toes. It feels like it gets in through the seems(?) I still have these but can only wear them in dry climates. It's unfortunate. My other boots are a pair of Oboz and they're a far shot from Lem's superior comfort.
