Disappointedly Mixed
The shoe fits my feet very comfortably, as its “tennis shoe” version has. Where it needs a redesign - the lacing!
Unlike the lower height version of this shoe, this shoe has a lace that will not stay tied. The material slips immediately. Add to that the fact that the transition in lacing from foot to ankle does not have good grommet cinching to get that boot secured to your ankle, the lacing system is inept. I am going to try and find some long laces that will have enough natural friction in their material (your short version laces happily do!) to see if my tying, bows & nots will stay put!
Think of a skate boot for the lace support we need without frustration. It’s a safety fail at this point. Can’t have our boots untying when simply walking normally, let alone hiking!
Sadly, I won’t recommend the hiking version of this shoe, due to this issue.

Im flat footed and like hi tops- decided to give these a shot over Vans MTE's and im so glad I did- these are my new dailys and i love them. Will get the full tan version as well depending on how well the tread holds up on these with daily use.
