Not one of the best, THE BEST!
I'm in my 50s and just had foot surgery. I need a shoe or boot that provides support without being too cumbersome. These boots are stylish and so comfortable. They are as light as a feather. They are easy to take on and off. I like having the option to use the upper shoelace eyelets. I've worn them in the snow, and my feet stay dry. I never thought I would spend so much on boots, but I'm delighted with my purchase. I want to order a 2nd pair, but the Blue Steel isn't available in my size anymore. These boots are so wonderful, I might have to opt for comfort over color!

Roomy yet snug
I don't know how a shoe can be designed to be so roomy in the front but still keep the heel snug and not moving, but Lems pulls it off. I love these lighweight boots and they are now my daily wear for cold weather; I'm counting on them getting me through snow and slush, too, as well as hiking on scree. I had to train them where I want the front crease to break by doing some lunges, and that helped finesse the fit early. I like that the uppers provide warmth/coverage of ankle without digging in anywhere. This is my second pair of Lems, the first being a lighter weight summer shoe. I'm a fan and will never go back to wearing regular shoes -- and I'm 65.
