This is the first time that the recommended size did not fit. It was very tight and short. The return was so easy. I received the new size in just a few days. I love these boots even more than I thought possible.

Blundstone upgrade
I used blundstones for work boots for 2.5 years. I build hiking trails and restore habitat in Maine. I work outside in every type of weather with power tools, chainsaws, on and off trail, in wet areas, steep areas, and at times can't see my footing in dense vegetation. I switched to lems tuff about 1.5 months ago. Immediate benefits: space for my toes and thick socks; flat stable heel = no sliding/ankle rolls; way grippier tread and more articulation in my step than other work boots; less fatigued at EOD; warmer toes since they are not packed in so tightly. More confident footing, better balance and better range of motion for my entire foot. My heel stays locked in, my toes can splay. I bought a half size up from my typical 6.5USW based on other reviews - I think I could have done a 6.5 but I am happy with the 7 - these are for winter and extra millimeters for thicker socks works well.
This boot checks off my preference for no laces, firm toebox (but will not replace a proper hard toe or steel toe), waterproofable (I waxed mine before use in snow and rain), warmth, and so far, durability.

Some initial break-in but then wonderful!
Wore these twice before taking them on a trip to Chicago where I was walking ~20k steps/day. My fault for not breaking them in more but actually rubbed so hard on the back of my leg that the skin was a little raw (through a pair of socks and long underwear- thankful it was a winter trip or I probably would have had to return to my Airbnb to change shoes). HOWEVER, after that initial break-in, they've be stellar and I've worn them every opportunity since and I'm eyeing the brown ones!
