Too soon to be sure
I think I'm really going to like these boots. They don't require a breaking in on the foot, but they do need breaking in where the top of the boot rubs your shin when you walk. I think socks have helped and will make this a fairly simple transition.
I have never worn a 9.5 in shoes, so I would say these run a tad small. I originally sized up a half size, and I had to return them for the next size up. Customer service has been seamless and the exchange process was easy.
Something to note: My boots already had marks on the top of one boot when I received them. Nothing major; but for the price, I would have thought there'd be better quality control.

Perfect
I am so happy with my waterproof chelsea barefoot boots! They have the perfect amount of cushioning and warmth! The first day I wore them, I had them on for 6.5 hrs and my feet were so comfortable! Even though Lems recommends sizing up 1 size, I did not because I don't often wear socks or wear a very thin one. If you plan to wear a regular or thick sock, I would take their recommendation of sizing up.

comfy, sturdy, look good
I sized up a whole size from my normal, but I sometimes run between sizes, so not entirely unexpected. The exchange for the correct size was quick and easy; these boots are so comfortable I don't think I'll be wearing anything else this winter. Not too toasty either, wore them in 70-80 degree weather and was perfectly comfortable.
