Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

Happy with a couple notes
These things are VERY comfortable right out of the box, no break-in needed. I also really love the Iceberg colorway and Lem’s images are very color accurate. Like with all Lems, I went a half size up (despite not having wide feet) and could probably have gone a full size up if I were really wide. I have no idea why Lems keep insisting that you should order your regular size on all of their shoes. As everyone says, the toe box on Lems boots are a little on the narrow side as far as barefoot/natural shaped shoes go, but it’s still much more roomy than “normal shoes”. My only real complaint with these is the bizarre lacing system. Most boots have normal circular lace holes on the upper, and metal loop eyelets up on the ankle portion. Here that is reversed, which makes it almost impossible to tighten the laces without a third hand. Really weird.

They're great, none better!!
No breaking in needed, comfortable from day one. Sole is nice doesn't collect mud and dirt.
