If you’ve been holding your breath for us to release a Boulder Boot style that can properly tackle the trails, you can go ahead and release that breath. Now take another, and another, because you’ll be huffing and puffing up and over mountains and along stretches of dirt and rock in your spiffy Boulder Summit boots. Rain? Mud? Snow? Sleet? No matter, these boots are fully waterproof and will keep those feet dry despite what Mother Nature throws your way.

The Boulder Summit combines the minimalist features of the Boulder Boot with the outsole of the Outlander. This means these boots offer substantial grip without weighing you down, flexibility as you navigate uneven terrain, and the wide toe box means ample space for your toes to spread out fully. The rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs and zig-zag grooves for superb traction in even the most slippery situations.

Available in Rugged Bark and Coal - a full-grain, oiled leather, which can be reconditioned overtime to retain its best waterproofing - and Nitro - a fully waterproof Nylon and vegan-friendly option.

FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING

This brand new, sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

100% WATERPROOF UPPER

With its fully waterproof membrane and gusseted tongue, the Boulder Summit will keep your feet dry and warm, especially after a day on the slopes or slogging through slush on your way to the bar!

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel close to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

WIDE TOE BOX

Unlike traditional footwear that squeeze the toes together, our foot-shaped toe box allows for maximum room giving the toes ultimate freedom to wiggle and spread.

Great boots, but not wide enough for me

I was disappointed to have to return these, as they were exactly what I was looking for with their rugged soles.

I ordered them one size up from my regular size 8 waterproof Chelsea boots to make room for winter socks, but they were still too narrow for my EEEE high instep feet, even with regular socks.

Then I tried Tuffs, also one size up from my regular Chelseas. They have the same sole as these Summits, but possibly with wider uppers. They were also too narrow.

I ended up back with regular waterproof Chelseas, one size up.

Even though all three of these shoes are considered "widest," they are not the same. These are narrower, especially at the toes, than the regular Chelseas.

A substantial improvement over the earlier version of the boot

Still fairly expensive, but a substantial improvement. I would buy these again, while i would not buy the earlier version again.

Boulder Summit boots are worth every penny

Comfortable, light, supportive, and durable—these boots have exceeded my expectations and completely raised my standard for what a boot should be.

My job requires a tough, leather boot that’s at least mid-ankle but still lets me move fast when needed. My Danners held up for 15 years, but they started to feel heavier with time. After trying a few other options, Lems has become the answer. I give up a little bit of that old-school toughness, but I gain a lot in comfort and mobility. Totally worth it.
