The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

The Best!
These are the best pair of shoes I have ever worn. I have high arches, plantar fasciitis, and very unforgiving weak ankles due to multiple sprains over the years; therefore, good shoes are always tough to find. I needed a good waterproof and warm boot for a winter trip in Europe and these were absolutely amazing. We trekked at least 100 miles in 10 days over cobblestone, dirt paths and along a snowy mountain. My feet were warm, dry, and comfortable through the whole trip. No shoe change required, no blisters or hot spots. Love these so much!

Perfect fit
I found that my usual size fit perfectly. The sole felt stiff, but after wearing them they didn't seem stiff at all. The shearling lining in the top of the boot is very comfortable. They are easy to get off and on and fit like a glove. I will get a lot of use from them this winter.
