Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Rain or sun, we’re ready. Not only can you skip along streams and keep your toes dry, you can up the ante on where your travel takes you this winter, thanks to your new favorite pair, complete with a gusseted tongue.

OILED LEATHER UPPER

We’ve utilized a 100% full-grain leather with an oiled finish, that is pre-treated to be water repellent. To increase the water-repellency and extend it over the life of the shoe, we suggest using a waterproofing wax such as Otter Wax and reapplying 2-3 times per year.

IBR OUTSOLE

Our injection blown rubber outsole is what makes Lems incredibly lightweight and flexible. Deemed as the perfect travel companion, this boot can pack down to the size of your favorite puff jacket.

ZERO-DROP

Places the forefoot and heel flat to the ground correcting posture, aligning your spine, and encouraging mid-foot strike.

Don’t hesitate.
I waited two years to order these. I am the best at researching, finding exactly what I want, and then finding reasons why I should wait- usually prioritizing other purchases that aren’t for myself.
If that’s you too- I’m tellin ya, don’t wait!!!
These are the most comfortable boots I’ve ever had. I love being barefoot, and these are so close to it. They’re warm, soft, flexible yet sturdy. Perfect for work, but now I want a pair to keep nice as well…. There’s no “break in” period… no rough spots, around the ankle is flawless, toes can breathe, and feet stay dry.

I love them!
These are my first ever barefoot hikers. The first pair I ordered, I ordered a half size up for winter socks and insoles, unfortunately my toes were just nearly touching the end, so I had to up size another half size. The company was very quick with sending the replacement size and easy return of the first pair. These are now my go-to shoes for all my outdoor activities.
