Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Love these boots
I initially got these boots for winter time when you don’t need crazy high boots, but there is still slush and snow on the street. They’re great for walking the dog and some light snow when the snow gets too high. They’re not so practical. But what I’ve realized is these are perfect and rainy weather. My dog likes to wander and wet grass and through puddles and my feet has stayed dry. They also don’t seem to track mud as much as other heavy treaded boots. I think these boots are great. I’ve even gotten compliments on them because they’re cute too.

Perfection!
I love boots, and I love zero drop / barefoot shoes, but didn't have a pair of barefoot boots. I recently committed to only wearing zero drop, and found Lems. These boots are SO comfortable. I followed their size guide and ordered a size 8 (my usual) and a size 9 - the size 9 fit perfectly and the size 8 was small, so check out the size guide first! I've worn these in wet conditions (random snow on a trip to Denver) once so far, and they held up very well. I live in the SE US and have worn these on a warm day and did not feel like my feet were too hot :) also, returning the pair that did not fit was the easiest thing ever, and I will definitley be a lifelong customer of Lems!
