The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.

I Love Them!!!
I don’t think I’ve ever loved a shoe so much in all my life! The fit is perfect: wide in the toe while feeling secure in the heel & ankle (without being too tight to pull on easily). Customer service was quick to respond and confirm a size recommendation according to my measurements. They seem very sturdy (time will tell, I suppose)…are warm enough to wear outside in the winter while being cool enough to wear inside at work all day. And the soles are handling the ice here better than both of my pairs of winter boots! And they look great with everything! They are very expensive, but I tried three other cheaper barefoot chelsea boots and didn’t like them nearly as much! Worth it!

The perfect shoe for me!!
With the right expectations in mind this is a 5 star shoe. You have to minimum size up a half Size for it to fit like your normal shoe size. I’m a true 8 and the 8.5 is perfect. With thick wool socks on they feel snug but very wearable. Since they are water proof they are warm. As they break in and get roomier-they feel a bit cooler. So if you have sweaty feet maybe do a full size up, or if you could get away with just water proof spray get the boots that aren’t water proof. They also are a bit slippery on the ice - you don’t get great traction(walk like a penguin)z however they are so worth it for me personally. I needed a shoe that has toe room/foot shaped, looks good in the office but can handle a shorter hike, and is decent in the winter months. I’m in the upper Midwest -your feet stay warm with WOOL socks in 10 degrees Fahrenheit (or less) for a few hours, not an all day outside shoe in temps like that. I think it’s more so the power of wool that keeps your feet warm vs the shoe itself. I also appreciate that for zero drop, minimalist shoes they aren’t so barefoot you literally feel barefoot. (My vivos feel like that) and tbh in the city you don’t always want or need that-I personally don’t. They still feel minimalist and move with you feet but you can be on your feet all day and not worry about your feet hurting from being “barefoot” on concrete. I will be wearing these year round for the foreseeable future and will buy another pair. I tried to make my review very…
