TRAILHEAD VS. MESA: ¿CUÁL ES LA DIFERENCIA?

Desert Khaki

We recommend ordering UP 1/2 size from your normal US size. If you have wider feet, we do not suggest this shoe.

Unsure of your size? We recommend ordering 2+ pairs at a time, as we offer a flat shipping fee of $5.95 & free exchange options for US customers.

This shoe is available in one width - MEDIUM Natural-Shape, as highlighted below:

RUGGED UPPER

The upper is made of durable materials that stand up to the abuses of trails, and also daily wear and tear.

MOUNTAIN-TO-TOWN OUTSOLE

Engineered with a low profile rubber tread that combines the best of both worlds: ample traction on trails, AND excellent durability on pavement.

LOW HEEL DROP

With 4mm of drop, compared to the traditional 12mm of drop, the Trailhead naturally decreases heel-striking for a more natural gait and healthier posture.

FIRM CUSHIONING

When your foot is on too soft of cushion, you end up with pain and discomfort. We've formulated a firm EVA midsole that'll keep your feet happy all day long.

Reviews Summary
Customers say these hiking shoes are extremely comfortable and versatile, perfect for daily wear, work, and outdoor activities. Many praise the wide toe box, supportive fit, and excellent grip on various terrains. Users frequently mention the shoes require no break-in period and feel comfortable immediately. Common feedback includes sizing concerns, with most recommending ordering a half to full size up as these run small. While many love the durability and quality construction, some note the toe box is narrower than expected for a minimalist shoe. The zero-drop design and cushioning receive positive reviews, though a few find the sole stiffer than anticipated.

    Great shoe

I was surprised at how much I like these shoes. I got the black and then the brown and blue pair. Highly recommend. They are comfortable, easy to put on a take off in a hurry. Probably won’t buy another brand.

    Interesting Mix

For years I have worn stiff hiking shoes to get the ankle support. But along the way I have discovered that my sweet spot is in the 4 to 6 mm heel drop. All of the traditional hiking shoes are much higher.

The Lem's Trailhead is on target at 4 mm and the shoe is very comfortable all day, multiple days. Now it doesn't have the same heel stability as those stiff hiking shoes but with good heel structure and even better torsional stiffness of the the sole it's better than any of the other trail shoes I have tried. It also feels close to the ground which makes it feel more stable and connected to the ground.

If you are lucky enough that a zero heel drop works for you, then you will have other choices, but if you prefer a low but not zero heel then the Trailhead is a good choice. My only desire would be an extra stable version with even more heel support trading off for a little more weight. But that's just me and I'm happy to have found Lem's.

The best outdoor shoes my son has had

My son loves these we originally bought a half size too small but the exchange process was super easy. The new pair fits perfect and he wears them all day most days of the week and has had no fatigue or pain. Great shoes, super lightweight!
