PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

RUGGED RUBBER OUTSOLE

The full rubber outsole features 4mm lugs for incredible traction both on and off-road. The built in zig-zag siping helps dissipate water and maintain ground contact.

3mm is not zero drop
I was looking forward to the Trail Thrashers (my feet are very wide) because Lems Primal Zens fixed my Plantar fasciitis problem but the Zens are a little too flexible around tree roots and gravel. The Trail Thrasher is well constructed and I like the look (mine are moss). It gives me the little bit better protection from the rougher parts of a trail I was looking for. However the slight rise in the heel makes my whole walk different: the joints and feet complain. They may get better with more use but I'll stick to the Primal Zens for all but rough trails for now. I look forward to a real Wide Zero Drop trail shoe soon!

Very comfortable, a shoe needed where the bottoms will last a long time toe with is great, because I have bunions.

Great looking a fitting shoe
I got these to replace a pair another pair of Lem’s. Fit and style have been great and I continue to receive compliments. The extra cushion in the Trail Thrashers were exactly what I hoped for. I’m waiting on a pair of 9to5’s to arrive as I type this!
