Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

These Lems hiking shoes exceeded my expectations. They’re incredibly lightweight yet provide great traction and stability on rocky and uneven terrain. Trail Blazer Shoe Size 10
I love my new Trail Blazer shoes from LEM. They are the most comfortable shoe that I have ever worn. I sized up a full size from the shoes that I normally wear to a size 10 and they fit perfectly. Of note, my size 9 shoes no longer fit me as my foot has changed so much. I now have all my shoes in bags ready to go to the thrift store as they as so uncomfortable after wearing LEMS for the last month. I had been having foot pain for months and when my physio told me to get these shoes I was hesitant but I am so glad I listened. They were more than I wanted to pay but oh so worth the expense to have pain free feet. Great shoes, great company. Shipping was seamless and quick. Go ahead , treat your feet to comfort and give your toes room to move.

Not as flexible as a barefoot shoe, but appreciate that extra support while hiking rough terrain.
Bought these for my trip to the Grand Canyon and they did not disappoint! I would love to have an exta wide width though
