PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Great sandal - Recommend
As a background, I have several sandals including Bedrocks, Earth Runners and Shamma Sandals. These are most similar to Bedrock Sandals. I’m actually not a big fan of Bedrocks because they run more narrow compared to my other sandals. The heel on my Bedrocks are also just so wide. All that to say, I have wide feet and Bedrock Sandals are not wide feet friendly.
The shape of these Lems sandals are a similar shape to my Earth Runners. They are wide and have a wide toe box area which is great for me. These are NOT minimalist sandals like Earth Runners, Lunas, Shamma Sandals, etc. There is a lot of cushion, almost like walking on clouds which is nice but if you want minimal cushion this is not for you. This also does not have a zero drop which you can actually feel so a bit of a bummer there.
My only complaint with this sandal so far is that its not a zero drop. The foot shape is perfect though and I’ll be replacing my Bedrocks because this has a better foot shape. I’m usually a size 8.5 wide and this size 9 is a good fit for me.

Great sandals!
Always been a flip flop guy and these sandals have totally changed my view on sandals. Amazed how easy you can tighten and loosen them with one motion. Perfect for an active lifestyle. All around a great sandal for the outdoors.

Great Sandal!
I want everyone that is half size like me to know not to size up. I'm an 11.5 in trailheads, the 11s fit perfect. My to aligns exactly with the footprint on sandal. My foot measures 11 inches (27.94 cm) heel to toe. The sandal fits my wide foot and the switch back system is awesome. The toe thong thing doesn't even bother me like normal flip flops.
