Almost Perfect Shoe
The leather finish is attractive and durable. The soft collar around the ankle is not only comfortable, it provides a degree of support my feet require. The wide toe box is why I have purchased about a dozen pair of Lems over the past decade. However, while the front of the shoe is wide enough, I wish that it was just a little taller. Even with the insole removed, wearing thin socks, and purchasing 1.5 sizes larger than my foot, there is still a slight degree of squeezing; a critical issue with my overly sensitive neuropathy.
The Grip sole is Fabulous. My foot does not slip on the break pedal even when the bottom of the shoe is wet. I feel much safer on slippery surfaces. And it is designed so that the treads don't easily pick up stones, and are easily cleaned with a brush. I hope they provide the Grip sole as an option on more of their shoes in the near future.
I wish the shoe laces were of a higher quality, and am somewhat surprised, given how good the laces on other Lems shoes are.
But the issue that keeps it from being a 5 is that there are no grommets in the lace holes: just holes punched through the leather. Based on personal experience and common sense, some of those holes are going to become ragged/uneven over time, lessening the appearance of the shoe and increasing the chance of dirt, mud or water getting into the shoe through the lace hole. Good fit, just a little too short
Ordered a 11.5 and the fit is just a little off around the middle toes - the comfort of the shoe would be amazing if the fit was right, but after walking a decent bit i was feeling my toes rubbing against the front of the shoe

Chukka Grip
On the outside, they look great. There is no doubt of that. On the inside, the sole kept making a squeaking sound in the arch part of the right foot. I took the sole out, and it does not make the sound anymore, but it does feel weird on the arch of my foot.
