The quality and customer support has been excellent. I used to wear only Altras for the wide toe box but the durability wasn’t there. These are the evolution. Style, comfort, durability, all with a wide toe box. A combination I used to long for

Very nice, but some challenges.
These boots feel great, and are light compared to my other pac boots and rain boots. When I decide to run a bit, they feel excellent (instead of an awkward challenge). They seem to have good traction. They do need to be broken in, and I need more time to see how that progresses. So far, it is a good experience overall.
I needed to size up 1/2 size over the primal zen for them to have appropriate space.
I was excited about the ease of use with the zipper, but it turns out the zipper isn't enough to get the boots off. So, I have to unhook the laces to get the boot off, in which case I don't need the zipper at all. I'm disappointed that it is not meaningfully useful for me, but may be better for others.
The lace tightening is also a bit challenging. The tongue loop is above the last lace holes, so when your laces are off the hooks, the tongue loop takes some navigating to tighten the laces. I think the tongue loop would be better one step down, or maybe I should leave the last hooks engaged.
I am overall happy with these, but I hoped for faster on-off time. The zipper and lace configuration does not help, but once they are on, they are quite nice to wear.

The winter boots I didn’t know I needed!
I've been rocking the Lems Boulder boot for a good eight years now, and those were typically my go-to boot in the wintertime as well. But when I saw that Lems released an insulated boot with better traction for winter and snowy/ icy conditions, I decided to buy them.
I'm so glad I got them.
They are a significant upgrade from the Boulder boot for winter conditions.
• The traction is so much more stable
• The waterproofing is great
• The zipper on the side makes them really easy to get on and off
• I find them comfortable
• And that they look better than I expected in person
