Solid, comfortable, healthy NEARLY PERFECT BUT MISSING VENTS AR 670-1 compliant finally!
Nearly perfect. I am in my early 30's and became aware of "minimalist / barefoot" shoes just about a year ago. I am now onboard with this way of operating, and since I am in the Army I had been trying to find a boot which is foot-shaped to help me maintain proper posture during long ruck marches, weapons qualifications, competitions, and office work. These boots fit that bill in several ways, one being that they are wide enough for my feet (for those who are new to barefoot shoes, once you begin wearing wide-toebox shoes your feet likely will begin to spread out naturally the way they were designed to, which improves your posture, balance, and mobility as stress from walking is channeled to the proper muscles in legs--you should ONLY DO THIS GRADUALLY, however. The muscles in your feet and legs have to build back what they lost from wearing narrow-toed shoes for years. I run mostly barefoot in the summer and in minmalist shoes in the winter, which has allowed my feet to widen such that "normal" shoes don't feel right. An Army Ranger suggested I run barefoot when it's safe to and when it's not to wear minimalist shoes. The more physically active you are the more important it is to have good foot mobility and strength when performing those intense duties).
The second selling point of these boots is they are durable. Not more than a month or so of receiving them I took them on a relatively intense mission in which they were soaked for three consecutive days in ankle…
