FULL RUBBER OUTSOLE WITH ZIG-ZAG SIPING
This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

Just got the new Boulder Summit boots in replacing a pair of Boulder boots I have had for six years. As you can see from the pics they look almost identical. The Summits have an upgraded sole that looks like they will provide a little more traction and they also seem to be a little taller than the old style. The soles seem to be a little thicker also.
The sizing seems to be spot on. I had to send the Boulders back a couple of times because they ran a full size small. I wear a 10.5 in regular shoes and I had to go up to an 11.5 to get them comfortable. I ordered an 11 in these and they feel about right.
I hope I can get the mileage out of these that I have gotten with the original boulders. They are still extremely waterproof and are holding up very well. As you can see the soles are getting a little worn in places but considering these are six years old I have no complaints.
The only thing I’m a little concerned about is the cloth on top of the new boots . The older Boulders have leather all the way to the top and it still looks great. Only time will tell.
If you are on the fence about purchasing a pair of these go for it. Their return service is top notch and they stand behind everything they sell. I am not getting compensated for this review.

I am a professional gardener, working in soil, on ladders and around plants and debris all day. I purchased these for my cold weather work boots this year and after 2 weeks of daily wear, I am quite happy with my choice. They are exactly what I was looking for as far as a wide toebox, zero drop, leather upper (its easier to clean than fabric), waterproof lining and lugged sole. Yeah, Im stoked--I really hope they last through the cold months for me. Ive explored other barefoot boot companies the past couple of years and consistently run into durability problems with fabric based uppers losing their stitching. I have a wide heal and these boots have fit me perfectly.
