Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Not as good as Boulder Summit boots
For the past two years I've bought Boulder Summit boots, which are generally excellent, but had one flaw for me: because of the way the extra-wide toe box folded when I walked, the stitching eventually tore in the same spot on both right boots (see second photo), so this time I thought I'd give the narrow Boulder Grip boots a try. They are certainly almost as comfortable, and the heavier stitching seems promising, thoiugh it's way too early to tell how it will hold up. I walk 4-5 miles a day on steep and rocky, mountainous terrain, where I also do a lot of outdoor work, which both types of Boulder boots are sturdy enough for.
What surprised me was how quickly the front of both boots got beaten up by the trails and after only a couple hundred miles, look way older than they are, with nicks and splits (see first photo). This was never the case with the Boulder Summit boots. I do have other shoes to wear in town, but I really liked the versatility of the Boulder Summit boots in that regard. It's a pity that my feet seem to be a bit too narrow for them, and/or that their stitching isn't sturdier.

Great for casual wearing!
An extremely comfortable barefoot style boot with a few flaws. I've worn these boots everyday for my SilkScreening job for over 4 months as well as some light outdoor activities. The rubber soles are unfortunately very slippery on dirt trails and wet floors, but also well made and durable. Wouldn't recommend for any active lifestyles. My biggest concern is the leather started to rip open near my big toe on the right foot. Unfortunately warranty does not cover allot of things with their products. All-in-All these are great shoes and I've enjoyed em, but I cannot recommend them. Will be purchasing Jim Green Footwear next!
