Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

This sticky rubber outsole incorporates 4mm deep lugs for incredible traction on snow, mud, and everywhere in-between! The built in zig-zag grooves (siping) provide additional biting edges to cut into ice/snow and helps ground your feet in slippery situations.

Fits like nice old comfortable shoes right out of the box
This is my third pair, wear them year round including Canadian winter. Like the grip of the soles on this particular model.

Perfection
I freaking love these boots. The waterproof exterior and rugged outsole make them bulletproof, but the wide toe box and soft lining materials mean they're super comfortable to wear. The zero drop is great. They seem durable, too — I've had some issues with other Lems models like the Primal (broken heel pull), but so far no problems with these. Lems, please don't make the same mistake other shoe companies make and "update" these. You have a classic here; don't f@#% it up.

Favorite Boot!
I have been using Lems for years and now they are the only brand I will put on my feet. I have always loved the original Boulder boot, but this has taken it to a whole new level! I live in the High Rockies and the summit was the perfect upgrade with the tread on the bottom. No more slipping on the ice and snow. The boots are so comfortable and more importantly, they are durable. Every pair of Lems that I have owned are high quality and last a long time. Can't recommend these bots enough. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair of these.
