Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Love the Primal Zen
I transitioned from a negative heel Teva Surge Event to the Lems Primal Zen. These shoes with the wide toe box are comfortable all day and walking on gravel is like getting a nice foot massage. The Primal Zen suede is dressy enough for church and practical for walking in fields because the suede material doesn't attract the little weeds like the mesh top does. Thanks Lems.

Men's Primal ZEN Suede Size 13 Review
Nice shoe. A month in - I would have liked a tighter heal with the wide box for my toes. The 12's were just 1/2" short.
The size 13 tongue should be sewn with more consideration to getting the long foot into the shoe. I'm going to buy a shoehorn. I almost don't need to lace the shoe for it to stay on. I like the wide box however the shoe could be narrower in the arch and heal. I guess I can't have it all.
Last time I looked the cork in-soles were out of stock. A perk for the shoe price tag would be a second insole.
My local Santa Cruz, CA shoe store "The Sock Shop" would NOT order me the 13 to try on so I had to purchase the Men's 13 online. This saddened me as I couldn't support our local business. Maybe they had issues with LEMS accepting returning shoes??? Still shopping there for other shoes.
