Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.

The Only Shoes I Brought On a 6 Month Int'l Trip
Wore these every day for 6 straight months, and I ran them ragged. Soaked them in salt water and let them akr dry, walked through sand, dirt, rocks, asphalt, bricks, and more. I take them off my feet the "bad" way (use one foot to pry the other shoe off by pushing on the bottom back of the shoe) and there's no issue with the sole glue stwrting to loosen.
These shoes are building up a sexy patina. Dirt and clay just make these shoes look better. The waterproofing works well for puddles but waterproofing works both ways - if you submerge these, you will be sloshing around in water until they fully dry.
My one and only complaint is that if I don't lace them ALL the way up (using the top 2 rows of hook eyelets) then sometimes one shoe's bunny ear (laces knot) will sometimes get caught on the other shoe's hook eyelet and cause me to trip. I think if I were redesigning the shoes, I would change the hook eyelets to regular hole eyelets to alleviate that issue.
