Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Wonderful Walking Shoes
Lems Primal 3 is a great walking shoe. They have an extra-wide toe box, light weight, slightly thicker sole than some other minimal brands, and stylish design. I wear them walking, traveling, and even for casual wear like running errands, etc.
As a barefooter with a wide foot, I find that many minimal shoes are not quite wide enough. I can "cheat" with some brands that have mesh uppers - my toes push out into the mesh. And with some other brands that have wide enough toe boxes, the heels slip around on me. Lems widest width are perfect for my tootsies to wiggle freely and my heel to feel snug. Note that I do size up by 1/2 in all my shoes when going by the shoes guides.
These are super light weight which means my legs don't get tired even when walking for hours.
As for the slightly thicker sole than some other brands - I wore very thin soles 3-4mm for years but now find that while that thin sole is great in the woods or on natural terrain, I need a bit more padding for the heel and MTP's on those unforgiving pavement and concrete surfaces. The Primal 3 and Boulder Boot mid are all I need when traveling /hiking/walking in various cities.
As for style, these are a 10!
Note - I initially wanted the Olive/gum sole (sold out), but I ordered the Navy/white sole and am really happy with that color combo for summer. Fingers crossed for the Olive to be restocked for Fall!

Wonderful!
I like these shoes! They're a perfect fit and are perfectly comfortable. I thought the wide toe box might make my feet look big but everyone comments that my feet look small. I love the design and I wear them to work. They go with most outfits.
