Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Small toe box, good grip
So out of all the shoes I own from here this one has the smallest toebox so far. I’d say that is the only negative here. Wish it was bigger. The colors and style are cute. And it has good grip. I was looking for a shoe to walk my dog on and the road is a dirt/rocky type. So when I wore the discontinued primals I’d slip to easily. And I love my outlanders but I feel they are more heavy duty than needed for that type of walk. So, these shoes work perfectly.

Love this shoe!! But runs small and narrow
This has been one of my favorite shoes ever, but you definitely need to order a size up. I don’t understand for a company that cause itself a minimalist shoe why the toe boxes are so freaking narrow. You can see my toes blew a hole out of both sides. These are not true to fit. I wish the company would just adjust this template to get a wider toe instead of making everyone order a size they don’t normally wear.

I’m on my third pair of Trailheads. I absolutely love them. They last for a long time. I have a work pair and a going out pair.
