Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.

Like the shoe alot - great looking and fits well. I do prefer the Primal 2/3. Wider toe box and most comfortable. Weird that the lacings are very far from each other on eco...while Primal they pull together. Almost feel like my foot us to wide for Eco

Better for most, but not a barefoot shoe
I'd quite enjoyed the Primal 2s - great toe box, overall flexible and soft, but fairly hardy. For my own tastes, the Primal 2s had about the thickest sole that I would want. Thing is, these are my own tastes, and I think most people wouldn't like Primal 2s!
I'm not very fond of the newer designs. They're stiffer, the outsoles are wider, thicker-feeling, and much more flat. I can't feel the surface beneath my feet. Frankly, these are no longer barefoot shoes. These feel like standard sneakers with a very wide toe box.
I think most people want a standard sneaker with a wide toe box! This shoe probably fits more people's tastes.
I will still recommend this shoe to others. In fact, I'm more likely to recommend them. But these are no longer shoes I personally prefer.
