Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Great for work!
I've been wearing my Chelsea waterproof boots at work and decided to give them the rest as the temperatures rise for summer. I'm in a farm kitchen standing on concrete floor all day. Sneakers are great and fine if they get a little water or sauerkraut splash on them.

Amazing sneaker!
I initially ordered size 9 but had to return and exchange for 9.5 for the length primarily. The second pair came within 3 days which is pretty amazing. Prior to Lems I wore Birkenstock qo 500 and low bend shoes. Which are amazing but a little heavy I feel. These are light and the width in the toe area is a pure heaven in my opinion. I mean they feel better than being barefoot. I have been searching for a while for this type of leather sneaker for work. I'm a rural carrier in Florida. I got to test them in rain and didn't get my feet wet. The dust and sand is not an issue either, I wore them for the past few weeks and no need to clean yet. They are super light and flexible, really made for my feet. I can stretch and curl my toes inside to encourage circulation. Just wow!!! I can't believe I didn't find this shoe before. I definitely recommend this shoe for work and outdoor activities. I'm a customer for life now.

Womens Primal Zen Leather
This is my first Lems shoe, and first barefoot shoe. I needed a whole size up, but exchange was easy.
Love that it is leather so I can easily clean it. Love the zero drop, the natural foot- shaped roomy toe box, and the sole flexibility. I especially appreciate the true ground feel and feel this shoe is safer than shoes with extra 'bounce" that sometimes makes it difficult to maintain balance for seniors. This is now my favorite driving shoe and short errand day shoe. For extended walks, and/or exercise, I'll switch over to my Brooks for the extra cushioning they provide for plantar fasciitis. After much searching for shoes, without success, to accommodate my hammer toes and bulbous big toe, I'm very excited to find Lems!
