PRIMAL 2 VS. PRIMAL 3 OVERVIEW

Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Finally a shoe that fits my funny feet!
I was born with flat, oversensitive feet. After suffering two serious ankle injuries, I've had to rely most of the time on Crocs--which are comfy, but definitely not classy. There some occasions when I want to wear an actual leather shoe--and I've found that in the LEMS Women's Mariner! The shoe open wide enough for me to insert my foot without bunching up my sock; the toe box is roomy enough for my toes to spread out; the sole offers just enough bounce; and the cork insole is smooth and comfortable with or without socks. And really, for all of that, the price isn't that bad. You guys nailed it. How about offering it in black or red?

Happy to have the Mariner back!
Love this shoe. Very comfortable. Very well made. Nice quality leather and attention to detail. This is comfortable with socks or barefoot. Great classic look. Regarding sizing: I wear size 8 in Primal 3; size 8.5 in Laguna, Primal Zen, and Chelsea boot; and size 9 in Chillum and Drifter. I emailed Lems to ask what they recommended for the Mariner. They suggested 8.5. That's what I got and they're perfect. Hope that helps anyone who has sizing questions. I love these and might have to get another color.

Size up this new one!
I'm a huge fan of this shoe and had stocked up on several pairs before it was discontinued. I was so excited to see it back! However, although the site recommends ordering your regular size, I found it ran a bit small. I had to return mine, which was a hassle internationally. I suggest sizing up if you're unsure. Still thrilled to see this model return!
