Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

My Most Comfortable Boots
I bought the canvas Boulder Boots in 2018. It's 2024 now, and they are still my most comfortable boots that grab when I know I'll be doing a lot of walking. Even though they don't look new anymore, they have aged nicely, and still have plenty of life left in them.

LOVE!!!!
I purchased these over 2 years ago when I was working a job that required me to walk in desert terrain on a regular basis and they were my first “barefoot” shoes. I was worried at first about if the thinner soles and if I stepped on a jumping cactus. I was greatly surprised when I stepped on one on accident and it completely kept it from penetrating all the way through. I wore them almost everyday for a year and now I wear them multiple times a week. They are my go to shoes for our family Disney trips (16 hours straight walking) or anytime I am on my feet for a long time. I will also be the only one to not get blisters on those trips. Aside from wear on the insole the tread/sole of the shoe are still going STRONG. ESPECIALLY for them being over 2 years old.
All this to say I 1000% recommend!
