Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Warm, comfy, lightweight
I own a ridiculous number of Lems. These are review worthy for sure. They offer plenty of room, even if you remove the insole and add an orthotic. They are comfortable at first wear and warm. The outsole is plenty rugged, while allowing reasonable ground feedback. My only complaint would be the height. I would love a couple more inches, but they are still great with gators if need be. I went a half size bigger than my usual for added space with thicker socks. Sizing is perfect. Regarding the reference pic, I am around 5’3”, 110 lbs and have exceptionally stubby legs!

Amazon delivery driver here. These boots are warm and flexible and stay dry. Which is exactly what I need to get through long shifts in cold and unpredictable weather. I average about 10 miles of walking per shift 4 days a week where I have to walk through ice, mud, lawns, snow banks, snow melt and concrete. Most boots are stiff and take too long to break in and even then are uncomfortable, too heavy and cause blisters. The vibram outsoles provide the perfect amount of traction, I rarely slip, and only if it’s a patch of ice with running water over it. Haven't slipped on snow or solid ice. The only negative so far are the insoles. I know they are “minimalist” boots, but they have zero impact absorption and left my feet numb and tingling from jumping in and out of my vehicle. Some padding/cushion to absorb impact was necessary so I bought keen utility insoles and have had no problems. They are incredibly lightweight and flexible and have allowed me to keep up the same pace as if it were summer, they are so lightweight in fact my only worry is how durable they are over time. I’ve only had them 2 weeks, curious to see what 4 months at amazon will do to them (4 months is how long it takes for Amazon to completely destroy a pair of brooks running shoes). My keens boots lasted me 4 years, I'm hoping for 2 winters out of these.

LOVE THESE BOOTS!
I received my boots very quickly, the night of the first big snowstorm of the season on the Front Range of the Colorado Rockies. Put them on and tried them out tromping up inclines and running across the flat lawn. The zipper never slipped and neither did I. The next day getting in and out of my warm car and stepping through mounds of snow and slush and even a bit of ice didn’t faze me. The toe box is generous, the boot comes up high enough to not worry about getting snow inside, the zipper is a genius addition for putting on the boots quickly and taking them off easily so I didn’t have to bring the snow inside with me. No trouble with the zipper slipping once it was locked down and I love how the sides of the zipper almost seal together around the teeth. I wore socks that came above the tops of the boots so didn’t notice any rubbing issues. I walked through a few inches of snow with no problem. The traction is better than any other high-quality boot I have owned. Not naming names, but this is the BEST!
