Balanced Weight Distribution
The increased overall outsole width ensures that your body weight is spread out more evenly, reducing the pressure points on your feet. This even weight distribution enhances comfort during various activities. For those with lower arches and flat feet, you will find that this is a big improvement. But for those with high arches, you may feel very little, to no difference.
Enhanced Outsole
The Primal 3 is made with our Widest Fit Last, just like the Primal 2. The difference is that we developed a new outsole on the Primal 3 with a wider footprint for more ground contact underneath the foot.
Higher Sidewalls
When examining the Lems Primal 3 from a lateral view, you may notice a visual difference — the sidewalls now wrap up higher on the sides. This is a deliberate design choice aimed at improving both fit and lateral stability. The higher side walls provide a snugger fit around the contours of your feet, cradling them comfortably.
Zero-Drop Platform
Just like the Primal 2, the Primal 3 is built on a zero-drop platform which keeps your heel and toes level, mimicking your natural barefoot position on a flat surface.

Dress Up Style; Casual Comfort
I took a chance ordering these to pair with a recently purchased suit for company photos. Well, I am glad I did. The leather is exceptional as well as the aesthetic of the shoes.
Lems is the first shoe in this niche market category that I ever purchased, and seeing the styles they come out with I think that will remain unchanged for the foreseeable future.
These shoes represent a good "via media" between the barefoot shoe market and regular shoe market. You get barefoot design with some regular shoe aesthetic. That's neat. And these shoes are my first foray into the aforementioned "via media." I look forward to seeing how the Lems catalogue expanda in the coming years.

Comfortable. A bit narrow.
Great LEMS quality, but I’ve found them to be a bit narrow. The sides of my feet notice them in a way that all my other 10+ pair of LEMS shoes aren’t noticed. I can’t really go up a size because they’re the right length, just not the right width for me. I really don’t wear them because of this, and I’m obviously a raving LEMS fan.

These soles making walking on pavement less stressful to my husband's joints. He loves them. They look even better in person than on line too. Super comfy and great everyday shoes.
